I feel awful buying 'low'

When the year ends with an insider selling 200K shares on 12/27, while reliable insider Beedie stopped buying on 11/27, makes one pause and paranoid.  Is there bad news that has not been publically released yet?  Did the guy who sold his shares due to Rick Rule's interview correctly discern a sell signal, a tone of skepticism about whether AGB would deliever at this critical juncture?  Thereis no rubber on the road dude, can't you see we're slidding off the road of value investing!!!

Torturous rationalizations emerge, like, well maybe Atkinson sold 5% of his holdings (I don't know if this is true, another poster said 200K was 5% of his holdings) to spead out his capitals gains, take some off the table in 2017.  When you're a loser, you can come up with any stupid reasoning to justify yourself.  Keep it simple, it's clear that sentiment has shifted, insiders are beginning to bail.   Get out while you can!

When gold catches a bid to end 2017 and to begin 2018, why doesn't AGB catch a bid.  Instead, the price has either been flat or goes down a cent or two almost every day....drip, drip, drip, Chinese water torture...makes one pause and paranoid.  Why don't people see the price is getting lower and buy, there's so much good news that is suppossed to be unfolding?  Why, you idiot, because one person't lowball bid is another person's lifeboat exit.  You're not buying low Poet, the stock is tanking, you're buying high, you're the classic greater fool!

I had another sad experience with betrayal and mean spiritedness in my personal life lately, my magical protected childhood is over, yet again, people can be cruel, viscious, and duplicitous in the treacherous adult dog eat dog world....even friends can turn on you, just like corrupt executives who mislead and slaughter their naive shareholders.   Grow up, trust no one, integrity is almost always a mask!   Atlantic is the new Bre-X!!!!  How can you put so many eggs in one basket in a Lord of the Flies US gone mad world, Jesus man, a malicious 8th grade bully is literally the President of the US, the other kids on our island worship his bigger nuclear missles, adults aren't running anything anymore!  Regulation is for sissies.  The well hung guy with the brass knuckles, yup he's in charge and the only people who will make money in this new world are people who don't earn it, crony capatalists.  Sound money, are you insane!  Debt doesn't matter, didn't you learn that from our former VP who shot his friend hunting!

Yet every day, I buy a few thousand more shares, drip, drip, drip, as the share price slowly sinks.  I feel awful....going down with the ship......

Best to all other fools in denial,

Poet

Goldpoet....interesting post....and well said.  Robert Atkinson did not sell any shares.  It was reported as a private disposition which likely means that he gifted shares to family or friends.  There would be lots of reasons for doing so,  To the best of my knowledge, all fundamentals are still in place.  The Expansion Life of Mine plan and the full 2018 production ...more

What about LYD? Mid 2018 225,000 ounce/year low cost producer trading at only $300,000,000 CAD? Everyone is afraid of Armenia but the mine is over 60% complete. I haven't bought any yet, it's at the top of the list though.

AGB will do just fine Try Mexus Gold. Only 5 cents ,but will probably EARN 5cents this year per share.

Anyone who listened to my suggestion of LYD should be happy right now. It's up 40% in 7.5 trading days. Happy I pulled the trigger shortly after making the post..

In the late 90's and early 2000's often participated in stock message boards. One thing I have learned is to avoid boards that have lots and lots of posts, especially ones recommending the stock, as this one has had ever since AGB started to rise from about 50 cents onwards, and particularly after it rose over about $1.25. All the noise and enthusiasm (which some call "hype") is ...more
