SUNSET CONFIRMS NEW DIRECTOR
Sunset Pacific Petroleum Ltd. has confirmed that Belkacem Aissaoui has accepted the company's invitation to join the board of directors. Mr. Aissaoui is the chairman and founder of Ibossoil Drilling Services Ltd. with offices in the Algerian cities of Annaba and Hassi Messoud and also in Tunis, Tunisia. He currently serves as a senior adviser to a number of local and international companies operating in the Hassi Messaoud oil field which is owned and operated by Algerian state oil company Sonatrach, and which is currently producing 350,000 barrels oil per day with proven oil reserves of 6.4 billion barrels. He has over 40 years of technical and management experience in onshore/offshore drilling operations. Prior to this, he completed a multiyear major project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he designed and executed several onshore drilling programs for Saudi Aramco DSV. He has over 10 years drilling operations experience in Tunisia, where he drilled several wells and has since maintained strong working relationships within the Tunisian oil and gas sector. He has extensive onshore/offshore drilling experience including as a drilling supervisor in charge of an ONGC (Oil National Gas Company, India) offshore workover campaign. He has worked as a senior drilling manager for such companies as Schlumberger in Libya and Algeria, Halliburton in Algeria and Iraq, and Nabors Drilling in Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. He started his career with Sonatrach in the late 1970s as a junior drilling engineer.
