Crazy question

What is the range limit with respect to how far the steam generators can be from the producers?

Nexen's long lake project is installing a new pipeline technology that is a pipe-in-pipe insulated for transporting steam to the injector and fluids back with les than 1 degree of temp loss over an 11 km distance. Nexen's new SAGD project is sending water to remote steam generators and then bringing hot emulsion back to Long Lake for oil treating. RB

The short answer is that the steam is close enough to be used by Brion. If you were thinking about the every which way bet, (either STP McKay works or we just bought a cheap steam plant, either way we win!)......... But Brion wouldn't explain suspending capex on entire company because Brion cant buy the entire company because of the foreign control restrictions. In theory, you can get ...more
