Rad10: According to td waterhouse we just got paid. I can't find very many fixed income instruments where one can put money to work like this. ingdirect at 1.3%?? might as well throw it under the mattress. At 40cents on the dollar this is still a compelling investment/gamble. NH

Nike Check out the Arcan issues - when the tabled deal falls off the rails (which it will) - the debs will fall back to the 48 - 56 cents on the dollar trading range.  A good time to load up IMHO.  A new deal is always just around the corner and the assets cover the issues. Doing due diligence on Fortress Paper's paper - as they have dropped. Cheers Rad10

Arcan equity stock holders hated the deal but eye think the vote got pushed through. Eye wish it would fail and then Aspen Leaf could come back and look at STP again. They would find the STP deb holders much more willing to negotiate.

Eye think eye missed the importance of this. If they paid cash, it is an important indication that they have a plan/deal that means they don't need to hoard cash. Hmmmm.
