Sorry about this post, I see that I am posting old news.   Still great news, Can't wait to see the market reaction.

Hmmm......, I'm thinking that this was expected and all the buying took place before the announcement. Now that everyone is on the the same side of the boat, now what. The stock should not have gone down on surprise good news, very disturbing.

This stock has gone up an awful lot over the last couple of months. SND falling a bit with the general market may be disappointing but not unexpected. All their energy streams are still in a bit of a grey zone as to whether they will produce or not. When resources go down in price that zone gets greyer. Bob

Thunder, the same thing happened the day before the Colossus announcement. Welcome it this world full of liairs and cheaters. Don't try to make some small gains by trading on good or bad news. You will always stay one step behind. With companies like these two Sandstorm's, just hold on tight and you will be rewarded in the end.

The prices I'm watching are: 1) .63 would confirm an upward trend, 2) .51 would be a short term reversal, and 3) .42 would be a 50% retracement. I'm hoping that .63 is hit, but I would expect some buying at .42.

I am sure no leak came from Sandstorm managment.  These guys are first class and there have been many deals in the past when the market was surprised by the deal.   The difficulty is there are other partners and lawyers etc that get involved when a deal is finalized.  If some big players get wind of something that will benefit SND but be seen as a negative for a partner they can ...more

The stock should not have gone down on surprise good news, very disturbing.   Don't worry. Absoutely everything went down for no good reason whatsoever this Friday. E.g., give me one good reason why an industrial metal like silver should go down on good economic news from China and the USA. And oil? Come on!

The stock should not have gone down on surprise good news, very disturbing. I guess I didn't get my point across very well.  I guess it was implied. What I find disturbing is the fact that all the buying took place just before the announcement and there were no buying coming in on the surprise. The day had average volume.

Thundersole, I guess I did not get my point across either. SND is on a great roll. They were only down a penny on an extremely down day for resource stocks. SND seems to have gotten their pop on the Donner deal before we found out about it. When you consider how many people knew about the possible financing ( every bank and broker who discussed a possible deal and all the investors who were ...more

Bob, I get your point, SND is on a roll, that is plain to see, I am one who believes in the rule of law and this should not be tolerated or accepted.
Comment by bob4977 on Nov 03, 2012 8:30pm
Thundersole, I would like to see the rule of law followed to the letter too. But what are you supposed to do when it isn't. If Donner was negotiating with some brokers for a private placement and decided the SND deal suited them better they would have to tell the broker as soon as possible so they stop wasting time trying to price the market. It would not be too much of a stretch for the ...more
