Mongolia is like quick sand

Just look at the history of Ivanhoe (now Turquoise Hill). It's a horrible place to try and get a definitive agreement... The bashtards constantly go back on their word, yet without the international mining community, no resources would have ever been delineated. Dirt bag country, IMO.

 

To be bullish on SND now, one must look forward to consolidation, new capital and new deals going forward. If you can't see it.... You need to sell and move on.

Despite my disparaging remarks about Mongolia, I want to make it clear that I am still very bullish on both SSL/SAND and (long term at least) SND. In fact, I think SND got the better part of the deal on OT, if only because it put a lot less money into it. (The only good thing about SND's recent difficulties is that the mother dog is seeing fit to throw it some very nice leftover bones with CSI ...more

The CSI deal is compelling.  Palladium trades at approx. 50% of the price of platinum, but the grade of the CSI deposit is expected to have 100% more palladium than platinum.  If we valued the platinum stream SSL has equivalent to that of SND, that would leave the value of the gold royalty of 1.5% at $45 million.  Seems a little high.  My bet is that the fair value of the ...more
