RE:Buying competitors or dividends?

RE:Buying competitors or dividends?
Been reading your posts prested and would just like to comment on your question of surplus cash and making an acquisition.

Alan K. was asked about that about a year ago and he said that any acquisition would be dilutive to the shareholders of STLC because STLC is the lowest cost producer in North America so he doesn't see the need to buy someone to increase his cost structure.  That said, I'm also interested to see what he will be doing with the shareholder money he is holding on account.  The SIB expries today and I've been monitoring the price and the shares have not traded because the SIB price since the SIB was announced so I can't see any retail interest in accepting an inferior bid.  I wonder if one of the 2 major shareholders took up this opportunity to exit their positions.  Won't have to wait long to see if that is the case because I'm figuring the results of the SIB should be made available over the next couple of days.

If there is still significant cash left on the balance sheet after this is all said and done, a special dividend would be nice$$$.
