I can't believe he's going to the same playbook

Step one: Put out press release indicating a 'material' decline in Q3/4 that everyone can already see in HRC prices.

Step two: Go on BNN and do the same song-and-dance as in Jan

Step three: Launch a gigantic SIB

Step four: Keep talking down the company in the conference call


I mean, c'mon. I love Alan but this playbook isn't going to work again. I'll be surprised if they get 3% of the shares. You can already see the market betting they'll have to raise the range. Meanwhile, every other steel CEO in North America is seeing good demand.

It's all a bit of game but I'm a long-term holder so I just think it's kind of funny. I'm certainly not selling at anything sub-$60.
