4th Q & Year 2022 Financials after hours today

Surprised there are no comments.
I would have never imagined the SP being this high after paying the special dividend in December.

Just looking at the earnings consensus on TD Investing.
Taking the high estimates (vs the mean) are as follows:
4th Q 2022 EPS =  $1.25
1st Q 2023 EPS =  $  .83
2nd Q 2023 EPS = $1.30
3rd Q 2023 EPS =  $ 1.38

That comes to a 12 month trailing EPS at Sept 30, 2023 of $4.76
That's a far cry from the EPS of about $28 that was posted not all that long ago.
The estimates seem unusually low so I doubt they'll have much of a problem beating the 4th Q number.
They had about $1.4 Billion in cash at the end of last quarter. It will be interesting to see if they can stay close to the $billion dollar mark .. or if there's a major drop.

I also took my profits on Stelco & was hoping to get back into Algoma. Unfortunately, I had a lot going on and missed my chance when it dropped below $8 cdn. It's moved up steadily since then, so I'll wait & see what happens between now & their next Quarter release. I don't expect their 1st Q (calendar) numbers to be much better than 4th Q.
