The Blame Game. Now the leftists and greenies are shocked that EV adoption is waning, and can't admit their flawed enthusiasm, now scapegoating Elon Musk for poor EV acceptance. Anything turn bad or disagreed with, just blame it on climate change and those right wingers I'm not saying obscure1 is a right or left winger or a green activist, he's a bit more pragmatic then that ...more

My "poor" 31 year old son has a 7 figure portfolio that has tripled in the last 3 years.  The income portion of his portfolio generates a $9k+ monthly tax advantaged income for him.  He is down a bit on his Tesla holding but it is a long term investment for him that both he and I believe will 10x in the next 5 years.  I feel ok about it.   I haven't posted ...more

It's been a while, nice to see Obscure and his family are still the best in their own heads.  Correct me if I'm wrong but all you post is 'Shiite'.  Stick to the EV pumping boards. Congrats to all the kings who have had success in the past few months. Things are looking up for the summer!

"stick to EV pumping?....lol Tesla won't be seen as an EV company for much longer because cars are only the hardware for their real business.    I expect that within 5 years, Tesla will make more money on stationary batteries than on mobile batteries. For the "slow to get it" crowd here, stationary batteries are for energy storage while mobile batteries are for EV ...more

you're so fawny even your grumpy self is lol. You even brought in your poor kid finance in your comedy monologue.  I don't post here anymore  yet you're still trolling here, no doubt you are learning from us SU holders or else you wouldn't waste time trolling this board thx for educating us about mobile vs stationery battery, we would never know the difference without ...more

This dead man walking company has decades of share value left Compare the last 3 months of Tesla share price to Suncor  Its what have you done for me lately
Comment by Obscure1 on Apr 04, 2024 10:21am
mertimat:  Please share with us all of the incredible things that Suncor is doing.  What will drive its growth and earnings?  SU keeps buying assets for pennies on the dollar but maybe there is a reason for that.  Tesla has become the world leader in: * EV sales and profitability * EV charging * Driving down transportation costs which are expected to drop another 40 ...more

All I'm hearing about EV is there sitting on dealers lots rotting.  Once governments pull there subsidies good luck selling them.  Look at the price of oil. There's a shortage and peek oil is decades away.   All SU has to do is keep doing what there doing.   If Trump gets in all this electric vehicle stuff gets tosssed out.  Same when the Cons get back in power ...more

Ford Motor Co.  just  announced that it delayed its electric vehicle production until 2027. Smart move. They are in business to make money, not to lose money.

And to be fair I'm not against EV.  They serve a purpose for some people but when the government is telling us that ice vehicles are going to be banned.......not happening.   As for the rest of that stuff.  I look forward to seeing it in action

at least elon musk pulled out in time unlike canada true dough who inked battery deals with several car makers. Only an idiot who think he can compete with china in the dirty business of making EV battery.  China has no labor law, no environmental law, no patent or property rights law. I remembered countless 'experts' tell alberta to diversify out of oil and gas and get into making ...more

Reuters was once a reputable news agency.  Today, they are more like the National Enquirer  Elon responded within minutes about Rueters lying again.  Then Elon posted after the market closed that Tesla would be introducing its Robotaxi on August 8th.    FOMO: Don't you get tired of looking like an idiot?

Nice to see these energy names get some much deserved re-rating on valuations. Looks like some institutional coming back in after extreme pressure to divest from the sector awhile back. At the same time, I agree that you could never count Elon out. Whatever EV growth is, Musk will keep innovating to get his market share. He was due to get puished on unrealistic growth targets.
