Tick, tick, tick.........PEA anyone?
Tick, tick, tick.........PEA anyone? I have experience in these matters as it relates to generation, review, revision and release of documents related to public companies. The longer it takes, the more folks know about it. It is impossible to put an airtight lid on something for an extended period of time. I would ask that the Company expedite the PEA process as prudently as possible so as to place everyone on a level playing field. Just to be clear, I am not aware of any breaches. My point is simply: the longer it takes, the more opportunities are available for someone to inadvertently learn of information that he / she should only learn when the rest of us do. Yep, I have "found/observed" material M&A information, unrelated to my engagement, just by wandering around various offices late at night. Other examples include ovehearing M&A discussions and observation of Powerpoint presentations regarding proposed earnings releases on a train between NYC/Boston. IMO, information leakage is directly proportional to the time between first draft and issuance multiplied by the # of reviewers and approvers. Yep folks.......the clock is ticking
