You asked:
51% sale of IP is rarely seen as positive. I'd love to know what makes you think that "The context of the NR makes it sound as if it was offensive" strategy by Sonomax. What words encourage you?
This is where I see it as offensive:
As a partner and co-owner, ValueLink will play a critical role in positioning SonoFit with major original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and original design manufacturers (ODM) to ensure adoption of the technology.

I just hope that ValueLink doesn't steal the IP (reverse engineering or simple copying) because Canada's success at getting back at Asian companies who do this is abysmal, and losses occur during due diligence and concept proofing exercises.
If they wanted to reverse engineer it they would not have paid $10M for anything IMHO. As a partner of SHH the patents are somewhat more safe now.

Now, if there are hidden partners with Mr. Huang, like Malouf or other large shareholders, then I'd better understand why we'd give away the IP. That would be positive, at least for the big shareholders involved.
Well, it is a holding company... draw yoru own conclusions or speculations. Someone owns the holding company.
As with you... this is all IMHO!
