Primed....

I'd like your thoughts on this company being bought out.  Gonna happen or not gonna happen?

I have no idea but I will say that ValueLink is a holding company as per the description. Who controls the holding company? An OEM? A manufacturer? I don't know... but suffice to say that who ever holds it will own a large chunk of Sonomax when the deal concludes. If there are any positive signs of life these patents then I would expect there to be some interest. This deal was either done as ...more

First....IMHO   51% sale of IP is rarely seen as positive.  I'd love to know what makes you think that  "The context of the NR makes it sound as if it was offensive" strategy by Sonomax. What words encourage you?   I just hope that ValueLink doesn't steal the IP (reverse engineering or simple copying) because Canada's success at getting back at Asian ...more

Well after 2 days of absorbing the news the market doesn't seem overly impressed. Looks like another ridiculous move. The 3M transaction was bad enough - this one looks worse.

I thought we already had so many companies and individuals working on placing the products with OEMs etc. Why would a little known holding company be trusted to the job no one else could? Because they have $10million cash they will put in our books. That's the only reason.   Ergo, it's a defensive move...IMHO.

I was thinking the exact same thing ... Now that the news is out ... flop!!!

You may be right but when I read this: ValueLink Holdings is a Taiwanese-owned strategic intellectual-property aggregator, with a successful record of commercializing and licensing its IP portfolios to leading ODM and OEM companies in Asia and around the globe.it sounds more like an offensive move. Also, if you research IP aggregators you will see that they are frequently owned by groups of OEM& ...more

With all due respect Primed, I think you're dreaming. This sick puppy will probably be put out of its misery and I would venture a guess, that the people who take it out will do very well with it.  I believe in this product (I own a set) but the sad part is, management can't get a solid deal done.  Why?  I have no idea.  It's not from a lack of effort I would guess ...more
