Off topin - What is the best brokerage to short wi

Off topin - What is the best brokerage to short wiI have been looking at Interactive Brokers and Questrade as i'd like to open an account just for shorting stocks. (not AAA as im long on this beauty!)

TD wont let me short venture stocks under a buck.

Anyone have some info on which online brokerages have a lot of short inventory and reasonable commissions , etc?

As well,  for software purposes do any of you have a brokerage whos software you find to work really well for daytrading or short term ?
