You should also be complaining about the underhanded tactics by shorts, HFT's and my favorite one is the up or down cross trades within one house. Not to mention people who use a few different houses and trade amongst themself. It's pretty simple to make things more fair but, you know as well as I do that the government makes a huge amount of money off these guys fleecing the masses. Should be no such thing as naked shorting and it all should be through an options market with is open and transparent...if you want true transparency in the world it needs to exist in the markets. All any long investor can do is either hedge against it in one way or another or grab on and ride things out.
