K+S Potash Canada is part of the K+S Group, one of the worlds leading suppliers of standard and speciality fertilizers and the worlds leading salt producer. With more than one hundred years of mining experience K+S offers a comprehensive range of goods and services for agriculture and industry and employs more than 14,000 people globally. K+S is in the initial stages of developing a new potash mine near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and is building its workforce to support its development and ongoing operations expected in 2015.

We are seeking a Capital Project Engineer to work at our site near Moose Jaw, reporting to the Capital Superintendent, who will be responsible for project scope deliverables, schedule and budget working with the engineering technical group to manage design activities and the construction group to execute the project. The general tasks and duties will be:
- Ensures projects are executed according to the agreed upon project charter and approvals
- Responsible to ensure all projects follow the KSPC capital projects life cycle from conception to closeout
- Supports the project engineering team to execute Wellfield area scope during Legacy project phase
- Works with the capital project controller to ensure capital cost of the projects are within budget and meet corporate reporting and accounting guidelines
- Works with Management of Change Coordinator to manage the capital projects impact on the operation
- Ensures that K+S Potash Canada is at all times in compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental regulatory and internal laws and policies.

We require the following qualifications for this role:
- BSc. or MSc. in an accredited engineering discipline
- PMP designation strongly preferred
- Engineer-in-Training or P.Eng.Status with APEGS
- 2+ years experience in a heavy industrial process setting preferred
- 1+ year of project management experience preferred
- High written and verbal communications skills.

 Skills and Abilities

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.)
