MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) – The export duty on potash fertilizers has been re-instated in Belarus. It is envisaged by decree No. 654 of 31 December 2014 which was officially published at the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.

On 1 January 2015 the duty on potash fertilizers exported from the territory of Belarus outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union will make up €45 per 1,000kg, the decree reads.

The zero export duty on potash fertilizers was introduced by decree No. 400 of 5 September 2013 to ensure stable performance of OAO Blaruskali. The decree was initially expected to run till 31 December 2013. The period of operation was prolonged till 31 March 2014 and later till 31 December 2014.
