RE:RE:RE:RE:How Valuable is SOP?????I hear the global warming BS all the time about how we need to apply more fertilizers, but the interesting thing about global warming is the increased carbon in the atmosphere actually increases crop yields....Plants LOVE Carbon!! The real reason we need to apply more fertilizer is the 9 billion people that want to eat by 2050!! Economies are developing and diets are developing as well....
If you look at crop yields we are growing more and more every year due to better genetics GMO!! Yes GMO is good for the earth! Most tree huggers and organic crunchers don't understand this but that's the fact. Nothing wrong with Organic...It just won't feed the world... It was tried and failed in the 1800's. Peru's bat guano ran out.. So synthetic fertilizers were developed. But if you want to eat organic and spend 30-300% more for your food...All the power to you...
Why SOP will be in more demand is we are taking sulphur out of the air.... Our fuels are sulphur free...we have less coal burning electric generators and we are also pushing NPK applications where S (Sulphur) is needed.... FYI...Around 90% of soils in Africa show responses to Sulphur and or are estimated to be sulphur deficient. SOP demand is increasing and will be a massive part of the future.
Allana's SOP deposit is the gold in the ground.... Major SOP producers will see the writing on the wall and will need to either take less profit or partner or develop their own SOP deposits. Now if the market grows by 2-3-4 mmt...then it just doesn't matter...Price will stay high and any one like Allana who is producing SOP will make a killing if their OPEX is low ... Again that's IF Allana produces. :)
My thoughts here... do your DD...SOP here is GOLD IMO...
