The Mengo 1.2Mtpy Potash Project undertook by Chonfar, steps into phase of construction in July.
As the largest potash project in the Africa continent so far, there were some difficulties in the process of construction. However, with the cooperation of client, party of engineering design, party of construction and party of supervision, the project has been smoothly implemented since started.
As so far, the CFG piling, underground structure for evaporation device, filtering device, hot leaching device has been fundamentally accomplished. And steel structure for warehouse of material, maintenance and auto repair has also been fundamentally accomplished.
The foundation construction for co-generator plant, pump houses for recycled water, and house for emergency diesel motors has been finished. The foundation for drying device of granulation plant has been finished, and the foundation for granulation plant has been 80% accomplished. The earth movement for storage of product has been accomplished and the transformation, and other auxiliary facilities has been implemented as per to the contract.
The Mengo 1.2Mtpy Potash Project located in the Mengo region, 20km away from the Pointe Noire. The project consists of brine extraction and conveying, process plant, granulation plant, co-generator, office and tent quarter, off site facilities and port.
