I suppose they will exercise their exemptiove relief and do something else besides buying  $100 million shares way over the market price. I have no idea what that will be. It is not good if the bidder can bail out after an auction closes. That is not how auctions are supposed to work.

dude are you a moron? thats absolutely not whats going to happen. AAV will purchase the 100M in shares and continue on, they will begin the NCIB again immediately and then do more SIBs next year. AAV could NOT have purchased the NCIB all at 950 or whatever its trading at right now because when AAV buys everyday that lights a fire under the share price driving it up.

So they got 10 million shares at 11.20 great, just unfortunate timing given the weakness across the board such is life, anyway no need to be rude waly. Let's hope this weakness is temporary and they buy back a bunch more. I'm not sure what the long term price cap on gas will bring in

32 million were tendered just under 10 will be bought leaves about 22 million that wanted out somewhere over 11 bucks. Looks like aav will have no shortage of shares to buy back. Might be sleepy money for a while.

They Bought at the top  with Debt Money while companies are paying of debt as fast as they can pay of while They are getting more debt at high rates to buy shares at Highs ,,where else shorts can find this Kinda stock to short now stock is in free fall with NO support Under it and Bagholders wondering what is next

The Company will buy back these shares at $11.20 because they believe the underlying value is there. The process is cumbersome/complicated but does show that AAV management and Board believe that the corporate per share value exceeds the $11.20 purchase price. Good buying opp.

Gas has massive drop of .80 cents and yet these companies have held in well today might be showing how undervalued they have been even with the sell off this fall. I'll add a little more aav over the next few days.

I'm not happy about it but such is life I've owned this a couple of years and overall I'm happy and I don't base my decisions on a few days or months of what's happening I'm more long term. Looks like they messed that up for the short term. Hind sight is 20/20 as they say I'm sure they would like a do over..I would like to buy but have to say it's hard to buy any of these given the volatility right now.

Agreed...clearly aav or Natgas companies in general have no idea where gas is going otherwise you wouldn't have done the SIB or been buying share last summer even insiders like mike rose of Tou was buying in December not that being under water matters to him. Interesting times

Arbs    bot   shares    to  tender   .   Now   they  are  selling  the  ones   turned  back  to  them.  Even tthough  they may  be losing  somewhat  on  these  shares   overall   they  are making   a cash  profit

I'm no expert not a fan of what happened I'm guessing they could have bought back these shares in the open market at lower prices with a little patience. See how the next few weeks un folds. On the other hand I may buy some more... the entropy tech is a game changer.
