RE:450 MAX Pilots

RE:450 MAX Pilots Well, Boeing paid for those 450 pilots to 'sit around and do nothing.'   Moreover, having the MAX grounded actually gave Air Canada a head start on capacity reductions, and the final settlement from Boeing, estimated at $1.1B, will add at least $600 million to Air Canada's cash position this year, which has not been factored into the AIrline's liquidity/cash position by analysts.  The settlement will also provide many free Boeing MAX aircraft, yet to be delivered, as part of the 'in-kind' consideration, which will allow the airline to retire older, leased aircraft.  Finally,  Boeing has just announced that they hope to have the aircraft re-certified by end-June.

Cheers!
