Fuel hedge and ticket price

Fuel hedge and ticket priceAir Canada hedges some of its fuel cost, quick glance of ticket price between YYZ and YVR shows ticket price to be low in late March, all of April and all of May. Of course last minute purchases and summer and March break are high. Air Canada is the country's largest and has most trans Canada-USA flights thats more than any US airlines. With covid restrictions lifting expect a lot of people to fly places. Middle class are the ones who fly most, and most Middle class did well during covid working from home. Asia is still reeling with rise in covid, and Europe has war going on. Lots of travel within North America this summer. Westjet did AC a favor by buying Sunwing. Where/how do you think Westjet will make the money spent on buying Sunwing? SP will fluctuate but for long term its going up.
