RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Talking To Friends and Family....?Hey Cremona, great conversation. I too have set my kids up with TFSA accounts and have them invested in Aurora and Canopy. Oddly for two years everyday when they would come home I would tell them how much my portfolio went up or down and then I would talk about my cannibas stocks. Which ones were doing well and why. It took them two years to finally ask if they could invest some of their money. They aren't very old but old enough to have a TFSA account. $1000 profit in 3 months for an 18 year old is a lot of money.
I've also tried sharing my excitement about investing in this sector and it's very deflating. Many people think it's gambling and how the professionals are advising against it. They warn me that it's very risky and it's a bubble. The best one "you better get your money out before you loose it all". It's a total downer. So I've decided to stop sharing except the few people I know who share in my excitement.
