The Molson sweepstakes First of all I do not care. I think beer is small potatoes. Medical is the real prize.
Would Molsons not prefer a smaller producer. Just a producer. Like say TGOD. TGOD just announced a beverage division and committed 40 000kg to that avenue.
If I am Molson Coors I am looking for something smaller that I can control. ACB is not controllable. TGOD provides that control and still has ACB access to markets. Kinda best of both in one deal. Also allows TGOD to start to target rec. LEAF and CMED are not going to go anywhere near rec. ACB, maybe with their brand but I doubt it. I see ACB products going to the EU for higher $. Local "Craft Growers" rounded up via AuroraPRO used for local supply and presented as "import" in other places, similar to beer.
APH is also a cheaper choice than ACB. But again if I were Coors and looking at getting a deal I wouldn't touch the majors directly. I would take a larger chunk and control a smaller grow.
