Turnkey Celebrity Branded Product PlatformFrom Rick Roland (Institutional Analyst Inc.):
Tape this on your bathroom window. "Turnkey Celebrity and Entrepenuer Branded Product Platform."
The recent news release doesn’t appear to be the traditional 'hired-spokesman' announcement.
The most interesting paragraph we read was:
'The opportunities to create celebrity and other consumer-branded products on the Tinley platform are endless with Tinley perfectly positioned as a co-packing leader moving forward,” says Baron Davis (2-Time NBA All-Star and early Vitaminwater investor).
Reads to us that's he's not pitching Tinley beverages to his fanbase, he's pitching the Tinley platform to his business connections.
As a turn-key contract bottler (formulation, packaging, bottling and possible distribution), we read this as a great opportunity for well-heeled business minded celbrities to have their own branded product where they (the celebrity or entrepenuer) can make the most money.
We are very familiar with celebrity endorsed brands. At the low end, a celebrity can get paid by a Tequila company to endorse and the celebrity makes a fee and maybe an ongoing royalty.
At the high end (Tinley platform), a celebrity can instead OWN his or her own brand and if luck shines their way, sell it for $700 million like George Cloonley (actor), Rande Gerber (hotel guy), and Mike Meldman (real estate guy) did. These weren't Tequila guys, they were entrepenuers!
To get fancy, a Marijuana company like Canopy Growth (with money) can team up with a celebrity like Drake (with a following) and do a 40:60 joint venture and then they both go to a company like Tinley to get the product. Happy dreams, right?
-Marijuana (or major booze company) puts up the money - but they don't want to build a THC or CBD distillery.
-Celebrity puts up the audience - but wants an equity stake in return.
-Tinley (or another contact bottler) - makes the product.
Would I want to own shares in Canopy? Not particlarly.
Would I want to own shares in Drakes company? Most likely.
Would I want to own shares in Tinley? Most definitely.
