He doesn't have a dime on the table yet. Just options. I don't think he gets a salary.

IMO he was a distraction and was lending his name to provide "hope" that a deal(s) was coming. If he wanted to he could have simply made a few statements. He didn't. He sat silent. This tells me that he liked the "action". What he benefitted from this? I don't know.
