Ugly paper losses makes for ugly headlines.  Reading past that it's still not pretty.  Tufropes not living up to expectations, but being an Indian company now not owned by Indians I would expect nothing less, Red Sea situation aside.   No real movement or volume in the stock yet, so illiquid most are just stuck.  You have to wonder what Mithaq is thinking.  Not a ...more

Disappointing results and disappointing call.  I didn't find their answers to the few questions asked to be in the least encouraging.  Investor Day looks like it was one big con job.  We're days away from the end of Q1 and I think their reluctance to highlight improvements at Tufropes or with other holdings suggests we won't see much better in the near future.  As ...more

Forgive me, but I'm completely lost as to the state of the court proceedings.  What's going on on the 10th? On another note, to close down just 5 cents on a headline loss of $188.6 million for 2023 and a mediocre conference call while you couldn't call it a good sign is somewhat surprising.  Lack of liquidity means everyone is basically stuck in this Mittleman built horror ...more

Just before expiry of the extended bid, Aimia launched another motion against Mithaq before the Capital Markets Tribunal.  It's the same old complaints regarding joint actorship, but this time they're seeking different relief:  They want the tribunal to order Mithaq to make a takeover bid at $4.03, saying that this was the price of the shares at the time Mithaq crossed the ...more
