Time to investigate corruption at Amia again!

The secret dropping of the lawsuit of Chris Mittleman may have come with the agreement that Philip Mittleman has to go. This is why I believe all information in any agreement has to be open for view so nefarious actions by the people at the helm must be known to all.

Yes those settlements are very murky.  Aimia had a claim against Chris and Chris had a counterclaim against Aimia.  Who had more leverage? I thought that all these related actions (Aimia v. Mithaq, Milkwood, Chris) were supposed to be tried before Ontario Superior Court of Justice from Jan 8-11.  The cases with Milkwood & Chris were settled, but I've seen no mention of ...more

I have a funny feeling there may be a news release after the close tonight.

Was thinking the same.   I guess we'll know shortly.   And it's always good news on Fridays after close, right? :)

Of course!  I was just thinking they may have wanted to give it a day between the "you're fired!" NR and the "Oh by the way" NR.  That way nobody would ever be able to connect the two ;-)

What's going on? Little crazy
Comment by nkbourbaki on Jan 18, 2024 11:11am
I assume that sellers either (a) are concerned about the news vacuum or (b) bought in the $2.75-$3.00 range with the intention of tendering, and are now exiting because it looks like the bid won't succeed. We've seen very little volume over the past week.
Comment by Flynner67 on Jan 18, 2024 12:36pm
So if the bid does not succeed ? Does this stay at these numbers ? Little sketchy but anxious to find out
Comment by nedstar71 on Jan 18, 2024 1:51pm
The bid can't succeed at $3.66.  It's just too low, but I doubt Mithaq would be willing to pay up what it would actually take to make a successful bid, especially given what a mess the company is in.  That being said I would assume that converstations going on between parties are likely more 'meaningful' now that Mittleman is out of the picture.

Wouldn't the AIM.PR.C soon to reset at around 10.4% yield (tax eligible dividend) be a safer play ?
