35 = 2 and Occidental Petroleum

35 = 2 and Occidental PetroleumYkzsh8 and Torontojay, your post are must read post not only by novice investors
but also by experiences one.

Ykzsh8, you may be only starting in the investment arena, but you are surely a fast learner
and seem to have the good mindset to successful investing. And as always, Jay i
enjoy your investment posts.

I always say to myself, i could be wrong.Like i said previously, i have had my boatload of mistakes.
My biggest ones were always to sell to soon. When sitting on a good profit, i have many time sold
on a normal pullback to see the stock go higher and higher and higher.

Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger, two of the greatest have also had their share of mistakes.
When we do a mistake, we need to acknowledge it and act on it.The key to their success,
buy great company at good price and keep them as long as the story is INTACT.
That does not mean forever but until the story changes, meaning the way the company or
industry is performing you need to be able to withstand normal price volatility.

Warren Buffet does not look or care about the value of his stock on a daily basis.

Again, congratulation to both of you for very good posts.

As to Akita, yesterday, i read that Occidental was trimming Permiam spending by $320 million
and idling two rigs. This got me thinking because i know that Akita as one rig working for
Occidental.I got in touch with Akita and was told that they had not heard anything from Occidental
about laying down their rig.In fact, i was told that Occidental had expressed interest in picking
up a second rig later this year.

I aslo learned that they are working for Ovintiv in the USA.

With the price volatility of oil, we could also see volatility in our Aklta shares.

For those who read Ykzsh8 great post, have a look at HPS.A chart(down below) and you will understand. It could have been bought below $6 in late 2020.
These return are not often seen, but great returns are made only over time. Not in a few weeks or months.

Make no mistake, i am not implying that Akita will be a 20 fold stock. But i believe that it has the
potential to double or triple over 12 to 24 months.

This won't be a straight line up and yes i could be wrong on Akita but for me
this is a very good value proposition at these prices.

Time will tell.

Nice day to all.
