Cannot stay silent... Canada suffers shock economic contraction, casting shadow over recovery
The Canadian economy suffered an unexpected contraction in the second quarter, casting a shadow over the country’s efforts to recover from the effects of the pandemic.
Real gross domestic product fell 0.3 per cent, Statistics Canada reported Tuesday. It was an annualized drop of 1.1 per cent, and Canada’s first quarterly decline in output since the second quarter of 2020, when the first wave of COVID-19 ravaged the economy.
Nothing to add...
You may have noticed that my holding in ALA has been reduced but still been invested in natural gas like Birchcliff Energy that may explain the ''huge'' profit made in this outstanding and promising Nat Gas producing Company.
Still 60 % cash position and still swing and keep Nat gas producing company like Tourmaline and Birchcliff for a couple of quarters !
The idea is to put some cash in the good sector to have a good return on my investment .
At 83 you have to be consevative ! :)
