RE:RE:The most hated stocks....I also have tried picking these interim bottoms in an attempt to swing trade for a
quick profit.   My success is not great because at least 50 % of the time the stock
trades way lower than my buy and struggles to recover or by the time I make my
buy its too late and I either miss the bottom trades or can't get enough fill to make it
worthwhile.  I don't know how these swing traders do it on a consistent basis. 

The whole exercise at the end of the day seems more stressfull than just buying 
and holding and collecting div while you wait for some major market moves or 
some intrinsic corporate developement.   I have swung ALA a few times with good
success each time but they have not been quick in and out type trades.  I used
the seasonality approach here and have played it over a longer time frame.  e.g
6-7 months cycle.
