Keith Hill

I'm going to say it again.   IF Keith Downhill wants to go explore for oil offshore in the world in these "hot" exploration plays,  let him resighn his seat from the BOD and CEO job at Africa Oil and go work for Eco Atlantic or Africa Energy.

We don't need him here at Africa Oil.     We need someone who wants to pay dividends and buyback stock and monitize the value of the Offshore Nigeria assets for ALL the shareholders,  not for funding his lottery ticket exploration plays!

I don't think you fully understand how the Lundin group operates. They are creating a large umbrella with multiple near term drilling prospects. ECO, AFE and Impact will likely all be folded into Africa Oil. They are an aggregator which is great, they continue to gain experienced folks in the regions they operate and benefit from strategic relationships.  Just a theory but I think AOI ...more

Amassing dry powder. With Omicron about to cripple health systems with hospitalization of vaxxed and unvaxxed alike in the next 8 weeks on top of all the restrictions and lockdowns globally now.....will be rocky road until May. I dunped all AOI bought at 1.22 at 2.10-2.17 keeping cash dry for now ...no FOMO her with storms on the horizon.

anyone ever told you that your predictions are dreadful ? hopefully you will disappear soon, you so transparent on trying to get the price lower, after your fictitious trade

Not sure about your timing, omicron will likely have run it's course by May. AOI is also hedged until then so I wouldn't expect much volatility. Maybe some folks who think we hedged too soon but we had to because of the bank situation. I also think they maybe do buybacks before a divy. As an investor I wouldn't be thrilled if they wait til Q2 or Q3 for a divy but any shares they buy ...more

he has no timing, just wants decent people to sell so he can get in lower, of course wont hear from his prediction again, and no way shape or form this is going anywhere near the level he said hopefully he trolls another board all news is positively in AOI's favour for next quarter, it will be nearer $3 than his crazy level (though wont get there without news on kenya and/or venus strike

I am thinking more than 50M in buyback, but they may not buy back all the shares they say.   I am thinking/hoping for at least 10cent annual dividend and the price going up to $3.00 or more CDN.  I think they will bring in more than $200M in dividends this year from Prime so that will help the price. If Kenya can move forward some more that will help.  Not sure how much the ...more

daguy, partly agree, partly not keith has said buy backs are limited as it will affect liquidity, but your 50m is prob about right (no more, unless we get ridiculous prices) i agree on the 10%, though that might be the start or end point, so might be higher, and price will adjust. but he probably will start now at 10%, which means 20c canadian, and then let price do its thing. but, ultimately ...more
