Weird

WeirdHuh.  AQN never picks the most simple way to do things.  Paying the div in $US?  But the stock price is in $CDN.  And they don't list in the US (as far as I know anyway).   I'm dripping this stock in my RRSP but it's an artificial drip. So my brokerage is going to have to accept the distribution in $US, convert it to $CDN, and then buy the shares for me in $CDN.

(To be honest I don't know how the artifical drip works because I do get the same discounts that true drip participants get).

AQN is complicated further in that they sometimes give a 5% discount for dripped shared, but sometimes don't.  And they sell the dripped shares at an average price for the quarter, not the market price on the day of the distribution.  And it takes about a week for the new shares to show up in my account after the pay date.  This is different from all my other dividend stocks.

But who the heck am I to complain?  I'm up 27% since buying in at the end of 2013, not including dividends.  With a return so far of over 30% in less than a year, I'll just shut up.
