If the Canadian dollar appreciates, it only negatively impacts AQN's earnings after they are converted to Canadian dollars. It doesn't impact its earnings in U.S. dollars. You may be aware that AQN also trades on the NYSE and in U.S. dollars. I checked to see what AQN has done in the past two trading sessions and it has dropped there as well. I didn't think it was fair to compare Tuesday's closing on the TSX to Friday's closing with what happened on the NYSE as the latter was open on Monday while the TSX was closed. I think all this demonstrates that the decline in AQN's share price, at least in the last two trading sessions, was independent of what happened in the currency market.
