RE:RE:RE:interesting table on total returns for utils we ownCPX's lingering coal generation is on my mind too. Their 2021 "Investor Day" presentation says they intend to exit coal by 2023, and the nearness of that was a factor in our decision to buy in. We'll see if they keep the conversion on schedule.

Interesting. My rating order is: EMA,CPX,FTS,AQN.

We have done the best with CPX but I'm still a bit suspicious of them with their legacy Alberta coal and that's why EMA is tops. I like FTS quite a bit but the yield is always lower on it. AQN used to be my fav until Banskota took over from Robertson and acted like a BTO (Big Time Operator) growing for the sake of growing without doing his proper homework.

As an aside, we've held EMA since Jan, 2010, FTS since Aug, 2018, and CPX since Aug-Oct 2020 (as a replacement for dumping ALA after holding it for 10 years).  This certainly shows our long term belief in utilities and we still are big believers.

Here's a table of total returns (ie: including dividends) from Morningstar as of today.
