With all due respect, I could never understand when someone indicate that a percentage yield is no longer sustainable, simply because the market or trading price depreciated! Correct me if I'm wrong, (plunging some numbers here), presently AQN pays approximately $122.55 million in dividends, same amount for the past 2 quarters. In other words the cost (ie paying dividends to shareholders) did not change, the market price change, therefore the yield looks a bit higher. Please, I want to make it clear, that I am not debating about the sustainability of such dividend after today's financial report.
