Morgan Stanley lowers price target for AQN to $15.50 US.

Somehow I missed this earlier, but Marketbeat is reporting that Morgan Stanley reduced their price target for AQN last week from $16.00 US to $15.50.

It's not my fault. Marketbeat was supposed to give me an alert for any news on AQN, but I didn't get an alert for that item. That puts the blame squarely on Marketbeat and it means that I remain the world's smartest person :)

itdwillbeoknowok, For me you have always been in the insignificant (not insugnificant) category. Learn to spell.

Nice attempt to try to distract from the fact that two major investment houses in the U.S. have reduced their target price for AQN.

And while AQN had its price target lowered by some houses, ALA had its price target increased by Cannacord Genuity from $20 to $21.

Umm... Ok Vega I will bite. #1 When you quote aqn at $15, that would be in US funds which means about $23 Canadian. #2  I own both so I am hoping that both do well. #3 I I am underweight in Energy with most of my stocks in Pipes (Enb, Ppl) or Utilities (Aqn, Fortis and Ala).  Ala and Aqn both fit that bill. #4 I expect the energy sector to struggle somewhat this fiscal year BUT with ...more

Mas, I'm super busy so I'm only going to respond to your comment #5 for now. Three weeks ago AQN was below $18 and ALA was above $17. ALA has since come down in price and AQN has gone up which has changed their relative attractiveness. Currrently, according to analysts surveryed by Marketbeat.com, AQN has a upside potential of 12% while ALA's upside potential is 25%, which is more than ...more

One more thing, regarding your comment #6. I don't think I'm smarter than the average analyst, so their target's work fine for me.
Comment by bmbruce on Sep 28, 2020 7:47am
..price targets at their best are very unreliable especially given the current economic situation...no analyst can predict the overall market 6-12 months out let alone any particular companies share price...to depend on such analysts growth projections is a fools game even more so when comparing AQN to ALA...look at the growth possibilities in terms of the shift from a carbon based economy to a ...more

Right. The analysts are idiots and you are brilliant. Yea sure.

In reality anyone who follows the analysis with respect to AQN presented on Marketbeat over the last 180 days is the idiot... Marketbeat, 180 days ago had a BUY rating on AQN with a downside price target of $16.33 (CAD) or 9.86% below the share price at that time... does this make sense to anyone.. recommending a BUY on AQN and at the same time providing a price target that's 9.86% below the ...more

You  have to do your homework, and have objective, never fellow the current and the analysis, even the market behalf stupid, just look at North Land Power, for 2y analysis their recommendations strong sell, a year ago was 20 bucks price of stock, today almost double, you see analysis are stupid, they get paid by telling lies, also financial  advisors are coners and thieves, all of them ...more
