I don’t believe so, as the refinancing is to include additional capital for expansion and to provide liquidity to support cash flows for the year. The stock looks healthy as there were no drops in the market price today, and we’re up 1.82%. I believe the company was able to successfully have the conditions of the covenant waived today. I think that when the refinancing is complete, the market will ...more

On Dec. 12, 2023, the company completed a bought deal public offering, through a syndicate of underwriters, under which the company sold a total of 223,685,000 common shares of the company at a price of 38 Canadian cents per common share, for gross proceeds of $62.5-million ($85-million (Canadian)) and net proceeds to the company of $59.6-million ($81.1-million (Canadian)). No.

Like I said, the stock finished the day green and up 1.82%, which is a good indicator the company didn’t breach the covenant today but instead obtained an additional waiver.

Respectfully I am only guessing and you may be right but...., then why the only one week extension then? When you are not in compliance and at the mercy of a lender, I would prefer another ugly raise and live to fight another day vs the disasterous alternative. How much cash do you think they currently have on the books as of TODAY? I am guessing very little! Who do you think the loan covenants ...more

The nonfinancial covenant was amended until November 30, 2023. On December 15, 2023, the company obtained an additional waiver on certain financial covenants. Then on February 28, 2024, the company received a further waiver on both financial and nonfinancial covenants until March 08, 2024. After speaking with IR, my understanding is that the lender is just being difficult to work with, and I think ...more

Arg--So the refinancing is to take the banks out and provide a facility that matches our cash flow and growth needs       Now that AR has fired the banks before the banks fired them, we're dealing with the dregs, the money mart bottom feeders---dilution and a reverse is over 50%. Solvency is actually in play.   IMO

When the banks dont want to lend you money and your down to bubba the street corner loan shark it seems to contradict the pumpers rosy scenarios.
Comment by ARGONAUTGOLD on Mar 09, 2024 2:02pm
The CEO literally said, ‘Refinancing is to take the banks out.’ He never said anything along the lines of ‘Banks don’t want to lend the company money.’ You just made that up and, for whatever reason, decided to post the conjecture on a public forum. That isn’t very responsible.   Nonetheless, trying to downplay the difficulty of acquiring a multi-million dollar loan, acting like because ...more

Just wondering why you would think they have $83.8 mil in cash right now as wasn't that at the end of the fourth quarter or Dec.31? It is currently March 8. Here are my back of the napkin approximate numbers. Please feel free to correct me if I have made an error somewhere. If at the end of the 3rd quarter Sept.30. they had cash of approx. $45 million. Then on Nov. 15 they sold a royalty for ...more

Your numbers are pretty close to mine: US$137,216,000 = US$44,866,000 (cash and equivalents balance) + US$29,450,000 (NSR royalty) + US$62,900,000 (Equity finance). The equity finance was CAD$85 million. I think you have not included gross profits from operations and then deducted CapEx, which may not present an accurate depiction of the balance sheet. I would suggest emphasizing gross profits as ...more

Moreover, I prefer not making vague speculations. Instead, I analyze the figures on their balance sheet, then determine the financial outlook of the operations for the entire year based on the guidance the company has set out and then compile all the data.

Argo--these are not vague speculations, in fact many here don't emphasize enough when it comes to the financial debacle AR is in: The Loan Facilities consist of a term loan of US$200 million and a revolving credit facility of US$50 million for the ongoing development and construction of the Magino Project. Pursuant to the Loan Facilities, Argonaut has hedged 25,000 gold ounces per ...more

Having revisited that very clear not vague historic NR, investors can speculate with whatever application of vagueness they wish to apply with respect to AR's pending debt financing with a good idea about what they're capable of doing to keep Magin on life support.  IMO
Comment by ARGONAUTGOLD on Mar 09, 2024 12:03pm
Psych01, I wasn’t talking to you, and you missed the point anyway. The vague speculations are in the context of assuming cash and equivalents between quarterly reports. I would never dare to converse with you about any kind of investment, as I don’t take you seriously. You still haven't come to the conclusion, they’re a producer AND a developer. They began constructing a 1 billion dollar ...more

Sorry 'ol chap, if I'm on this board you're talking to me---that's how it works;  have a good day.  IMO

Yes you analyze the figures alright. Funny how you do nothing but pump with your endless b..s. posts when you hold shares but your  "Analyzing" of the same numbers are the complete oppostie when you sell your shares. weasel.

"Maybe you are right and they found another way." I hate investing on maybe. You bring up good points that some of the massive bagholder here can not bear to listen too. They may find financing but who knows at what loan shark rates and conditions.  Issuing a bunch more shares at this low a share price with some debt at high rates may not be ideal but it may be the best they can ...more

The rumours within the mill is that they are negociating a financing/merger with an other entity. I personnally think that they are considering several options.  Just my 2 cents worth.  Either way the cat isn't out of the bag as we would have seen an obsene amount of shares traded today.
