I don't think so.

This mine was attacked one year earlier:

Gran Colombia Gold Corp. To Sell Mine That Was Attacked

BOGOTA--Gran Colombia Gold Corp. (TPRFF, GCM.T), the largest underground producer of gold in Colombia, said Wednesday it has agreed to sell for $5.5 million its Mazamorras exploration project near Ecuador that was attacked and set on fire last year.

And they are saving quite some money they otherwise would be forced to spend on exploration on the project:

IMo it's good news. They concentrate their forces and keep the money together for the two important porjects.
