LNG Canada

Does anyone know if the timeline for LNG Canada can be Accelerated?

In complex projects, with many offsite modules not likely unfortunately. A complex project is not like a pipeline project where you can run multiple spreads. So probably not. If only....

Actually HP , I believe those modules are being built in either China or South Korea , I hate to say this but with covid there may be delivery delays on some pieces . Time will tell  but I don't believe there is really any possible way to speed up the project

It had a start date of 2019 and completion date of 2025. In 2021 they put out a press realese saying they were 50% complete. It looks like they may be ahead of schedule but the finishing and commisioning may take longer than the intitial groundwork did and sabotage won't help either and that may have only been phase 1 that was 50% complete. https://www.lngcanada.ca/news/lng-canada-project ...more

Hopefully it won't be impacted by the pipeline issues. Trans Mountain is way over budget with some reasons being relocating ANTHILLS! Also 15000 frogs, and moss. I'd like to see Quebecs hydo projects be forced to relocate the ants they flood out. What a joke our country is.

It was a different time.  They would never be allowed to do it today.  Kind of like Enbridge being allowed to run two piplines through the water in the Makinac Straits.  It would never get approved today. The biggest problem with this project appears to be the pipeline and appeasing the Hereditary Cheifs of the land that is supposed to run through.  At least Quebec had actaul ...more

Moving anthills is all about the Guilbeault gang. Quebec and the laughably labelled "green energy " shouldn't be immune to the bs.
Comment by Quintessential1 on Mar 21, 2022 5:47pm
They are not ant hills they are nesting sites for migratory birds. Do you really think Hydro generated electricity is laughable?  I am betting the rest of the country wishes they had as much. Guillbeault was just being born when Quebec flooded that valley for the James Bay Project over 50  years ago. I am sure he was not in charge. Congrats on the new 52 week high, we  did it ...more

Enjoy your evening.

Nope. Anthills, 150,000 amphibians and moss. Hydro is a very significant power source but I'm old enough to know it is not green. We used to care about the actual environment in the 70's and hydro dams were the devil for a lot of reasons. This new labeling of them as being green just goes along with the narrative designed to make sure Michael Bloomberg and the rest don't lose money on ...more

Trans mountain?  Were we not discussing LNG Canada?   Ahhh...I see now...Green Hydro Electricicity now falls into the great reset conspiracy. You have seen through the scam of Hydro Electric Power Generation. Time to update the graph:   The focus with this stock should be how much cleaner NG is over any other fossil fuel being produced.  It should be the bridge ...more

You seem to have forgotten  "Hopefully it won't be impacted by pipeline issues. Trans Mountain is way over budget with..." Libby and 7 Mile dams destroyed a large part of my world. Insulated city dwellers have no idea.
