Chevron to buy Hess for US$53 billion in latest oil megadeal...

ARX continues to trade near 52 week highs...maybe a great time to make a move on CREW or even BIRCHCLIFF..downside more than likely to be an 'all stock" deal as is the trend these days...dwdc

I agree. Global super-majors will not bother with small caps or microcaps and they will not easily take out Canadian ultra-large caps such as CNQ or SU. If the trend were to continue, and I believe it will, a company with ARX's size, scale and reserves would be an extremely attractive candidate.  They had just better be prepared to pay up handsomely because the company would be selling ...more

Very well stated Trapped!   Obviously ARX doesn't need anymore on their plate they have organic growth until 2030 at least and an acquisition right now would have to be an offer they just can't refuse kind of situation.  There may be some deals out there next year as the interest rate pain and lack of hedging foresight exact some more pain on a select few but I am not ...more

Companies like Tou and Arx will only get more expensive once LNG comes on in Canada and USA in 2025/2026 with increased egress and undoubtedly increased production from these companies These were Mike Roses comments regarding Tou but would also apply to Arx as well Hold for gold
