RE:US market close today

RE:US market close todayThat's important, because Canadian investors don't know what to think without the US market lead. What's more, Canadian market thinkers take today of as well. This should have opened around $40 today.

The only reason it wouldn't be higher is that I believe peopple are wondering why Couche Tard would have gone into this deal with such poor market intelligence concerning the French government. The French are as nationalistic as the Quebec government and look what happened to Lowe's on their first go around with Rona. Couche Tard is Quebec based and should know these things intuitively. It will be punished for that for some time and will have to spend some time reassuring the markets that they haven't suddenly become inept. This is in part a problem with dual share stocks, because in some ways management doesn't care what their investors think.
