Being a small cap "oilsands" producer carries too high of a political penalty to the stock price. Buried in a CNQ or some other ravenous cash stuffed producer just makes more sense. Or just getting out of the public eye into private equity hands. It also explains the golden parachute refill of options for management and it explains the otherwise needless foot dragging on the refinancing. Oh well, it's been almost a 7 bagger already, a 10 bagger seems "low ball" now, but we'll all find something else to chase next. Just my 2 cents, perhaps in another year, I'll have the same speculation but from a price that's a double from here. GLTA.
