Net position

I strongly advocated buying SNC in the teens, twenties and thirties but am negative and therefore out now for the following reasons :

1. Liquidated damages and associated losses on the infamous Eglinton LRT and possibly the REM have been announced by Aecon (Atkins and Aecon are partners on both) and not by Atkins so either Atkins is not disclosing them or is keeping the receivables on the books. While most of the issues are engineering and software related, Aecon took a ~ 200m hit this Q on losses on CGL and Eglinton. How much is Atkins going to take considering it also has main issues with the Trillium LRT in Ottawa (Atkins was alone on this one).

2. Will Trump keep the spending spree ? Nothing on infrastructure in his program. We will know more soon.
