RE:Deacon_Blues How was the AGM? The agm slides should be posted soon and they'll give you most of what was discussed. But, two things came out of the q and a which I thought were very interesting.
1. Re Separation Rapids: Initially, they'd like to focus on signing an offtake with a glass customer to bring in revenue from a relatively small plant operation. Then they'll be able to easily scale up when time comes to sign a battery customer. I got the impression Avalon has several glass customers discussing a supply agreement with them. Some are companies that were interested about three years ago but now see locking up supply as urgent given the competition from battery producers.
2. Re lithium demand: They said that some major car companies don't believe they'll be a serious lithium supply shortage. So they're not being proactive at all in procuring supply agreements. Quite a gamble given what's at stake and how agressive China is in moving to ev's.
East Kemptville ... Avalon has devised an innovative method for remediating the site from acid mining drainage. This goes a long way to securing full tenure rights government support for the site. They seemed very confident in this project given current tin prices and that supply is getting tighter for tin concentrate.
Also, the PEA for SR will be updated soon to incorporate new drilling results, lithium carbonate/hydroxide pricing, and new developments in the glass/ceramics markets.
I did very well off Avalon in 2011 during the rare earth speculation boom. I'm back in and accumulating at around current prices hoping this company will finally be in a position to generate revenue soon. I felt assured after the agm they're still on the right track.
