I did initially sell my shares during the last dip to take advantage of that, but have now repurchased those shares and will hold them through the vote. Which will be NO. Contemplating using any excess cash to buy a few more as I do not see a downside, although an upside seems unlikely at this time.
With the huge expected surge in sales of these products over the next several years it seems odd that one or more of the major players would not take advantage of those areas in which Avigilon has a lead, especially in the area of patents.
We still have an opportunity to see the Q4 and YE results on March 6, and I would expect any suitors would also be reviewing them before ruling out a bid. My concern is that there may be a reluctance on the part of the company to put the results in the best light, in order to encourage a yes vote. Gosh, am I ever getting cynical in my old age.
