Artis REIT's portfolio comprises properties located in Central and Western Canada and select markets throughout the United States, including regions such as Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Arizona, Minnesota, Colorado, New York, and Wisconsin. The properties are divided into three categories: office, retail, and industrial. The industrial properties account for most of the portfolio, followed by the office properties and the retail properties.

Ok, so we all agree the strategy is sub-optimal at best. Messy, unfocused, unlikely to attract new investors.

Now getting back to the NCIB. What is going on? The CEO buys in Dec right before the NCIB is to restart, then the company immediately starts buying back shares, and then they shut it all down? I can only assume there is some news/transaction in the works that has them restricted from buying shares. Maybe more asset sales?
