Artis Real Estate Investment Trust is an unincorporated closed-end REIT based in Canada. Artis REIT's portfolio comprises properties located in Central and Western Canada and select markets throughout the United States, including regions such as Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Arizona, Minnesota, Colorado, New York, and Wisconsin. The properties are divided into three categories: office, retail, and industrial. The industrial properties account for most of the portfolio, followed by the office properties and the retail properties.

RE:RE:RE:RE:The second the NCIB expiresi want to see artis kill the remainder of floating rate debt and 2023 debenture without moving it onto the credit facility - would be a massive accomplishment and derisk the REIT which used to trade much better and more respectably. if there are incremental $$ they can do a sib. the buyback is more under the radar while the sector remains out of favor.

based on the bad data today in US and Canada, the fed is now projected to cut rates in May over June so getting close. meanwhiel, canada and parts of europe are already in a recession. looks ugly, but seems like a positive catalyst for the REIT space seems partially inversely correlated to interest rates.
