FCR on the move

Was definitely oversold at $13 for luxurious Toronto locations.  Wouldn't surprise me if manji liquidated at the bottom.  His strategy is buy high sell LOW

My comment was predicated on the fact that Mr Mani stated very simply he did not see the need to sell anymore public  securities, but tendered almost all 5 million shares sigfinicantly below his cost base of $20 for Artis, gaining 30 million in liquidity.  Perhaps he is also freeing up more liquidity in FCR as it did tank hard lately (harder than other REITS), and that wouldn't be ...more

Your comment was insulting to him, as you know for sure that nobody's strategy is to buy high and sell low. You mistakenly bought a ton of Dream office, believing that you would sell each and every share you bought for 15.50. Markets are not entirely predictable.  Samir is a very smart guy, and understands in depth what he is buying- far more than any of us following this forum. The ...more

Hey man,  that 300 million of public investments is investor capital and partially why the reit has underperformed. There's very little room for error or leaving it up to chance with playing stock trader. Between dream office,  fcr and another undisclosed security sold I expect almost 100 million has been sold at a sizable net loss.  And they haven't even been held for more ...more

Snakey's incompetence is nauciating at times... the volume of his nonsensical "thoughts" certainly does not help... that said, he is correct - the point was to accumulate equity in REITs, gain influence and/or control, and hold these investments as equity accounted investments (like Irsis/Cominar) long-term. He miscalculated his own worth with respect to FCR. Selling his stake ...more
