a near miss

bought 300 shares yesterday @ 5.63 near the close hoping for some spectacular announcement with the earnings report but it was tepid at best so sold this morning @ 5.78 . I still feel AX is one of the most alluring REITs but I also feel the whole stock market is nearing a blow off top. Just my opinion of course.

So you too are in the "flush" camp? I think the central banks know they need to land the plane here and switch narrative.  It's getting exhausting tuning into this cpi nonsense after this long..

Well at least you covered your commission! Wrong reason however to have bought and arguably wrong reason to have sold also. Best of luck to you just the same.

It would be foolish not to invest in individual stocks that are massively beaten down already because of a possible correction to the overall index, driven by profit-taking on AI-related stocks for example.  It's completely apples and oranges.

300 shares! my man. manji is going to call you back to try to get you back in. not sure what we are going to do with your committment here. we may have to tap the public markets!

Este, you're bad, but if I'm being honest had a bit of a chuckle myself but tried to maintain as much diplomacy as I could!

I bought 1,000 this morning at $5.56 - thanks for coughing them up cheap.

Frankie behave and leave the lad alone, tsk, tsk tsk! Surely you once you stepped into 300.
Comment by BlueJay2020 on Mar 02, 2024 12:44am
I was only able to resist from making a dig at the size of the buy by the realization that this is how big fish like Manji view us when we pony up to by a piddling 1000 or 2000 shares - it's all relative!

Agree, and I would add that belittling somebody's investment size actually makes one look petty and childish... We all started somewhere, trying to make yourself feel good by downplaying someone else on these boards does not shine a good light.  His 300 shares might be worth a month of income or it might be worth half his portfolio,  My take, Nav
Comment by DZtrader on Mar 02, 2024 1:07am
Hey Nav, I think all would share your good sense, and while I hate to speak on others behalf , as well as I know Frankie and Este (through only this board) I know they are both men of utmost integrity and that all was in good Spirit and with no malice nor ill will intended.  Still, nice to see others stand up for what is good and right in this mixed up world. I think both Frankie and Este ...more

Very kind of you to say DZ. I can confirm I spent a good amount of time putting together my analysis so I could share it with strangers, with literally zero expectation of anything in return. Pardon my sass. It's been a long and arduous journey in REIT land this past year. And in my defense - I did say thanks. Hope you are well!! I plan on finishing the quant portion of my analysis for ...more

Your analysis and contibutions to the board are superb Frankie!  Always appreciative of the thoughtful and considered posts and the hard work and analysis that goes into deciphering the statements. Big thanks!!

I would like to echo these statements of appreciation to Frankie. Except that it is partly his fault I invested in Artis

I appreciate the kind words! That said, I simply lay out the facts and my honest opinion. I'm happy that I could help - as I believe we are all here to share thoughts and opinions to make more informed investment decisions. It's also just nice to talk to people about common investments. That said - certainly nothing is financial advice.

Not me!  I am here to ponder Snakeyboy's cryptic wisdom and to Like his posts.  And for dry comic relief. Baby Bunny

Manji personally called me a few months ago on the weekend to discuss Cominar. He cares about the little fish bro!
